This is a Giclée print of my original watercolor & pen illustration of a Northern Flicker. The first time I saw a flicker in my yard, I was absolutely blown away by its size and the gorgeous yellow on its tail and wings. I had never seen anything like it before. This painting was created in 2025 as part of a series of birds that culminated in my 2026 Watercolor Birds Calendar. Available in the following sizes: 5x7, 8x10, 11x14. I sketch the image in pencil, come back in with micron pens, then finally paint over the piece with watercolor, gouache, and sometimes acrylic.
