I love a solid black soap, and this one is fragranced with one of my faves - woodsy but a little spiced. Birch, cinnamon, and musk make for a woodland adventure in your shower! This fragrance is cruelty free, vegan, phthalate free, and paraben free. The black comes from activated charcoal, and the gold tops are an ethically sourced mica. You won't look like Midas after, though, it will wash off your skin. This is a vegan recipe of olive oil, organic virgin coconut oil, fair trade shea butter, safflower oil, cocoa butter, and organic castor oil. Activated charcoal from coconuts gives this soap it's signature black color, and will give your lather a grey tint. This soap is one of my best sellers in local markets. The aesthetic will please many soap enthusiasts, and the scent is appreciated by most - not too floral, not too musky, and very Portland.
