Achiote - the petz kitchen™ - urinary, bladder & probiotic digestive support* Achiote is a low-growing sustainable tree that is found prominently in South American rainforests. It produces a distinct prickly red orange pod that contains the achiote fruit and seeds and is classified as super foods, super fruits, and adaptogens. Achiote is a popular herb in Peruvian medical systems, also referred to as annatto and achiote. Achiote is used in south American traditional medical systems to help address conditional needs related to wounds, inflammation, and inflammatory diseases, skin infections, and digestive disorders. It is both water and fat-soluble, so it can be used both internally and externally.

We were eager to find and carry this in our store. The packaging is a little disappointing. The bags don't have hangers or holes, and they don't stand on their own. We used a hole punch to hang them on our merchandise racks. While it may seem obvious that they are turmeric, the packaging lacks an actual "Ingredients" label/listing. Some customers have wondered if it's 100% turmeric or what else is in it.
