Semi-raw moonstone pieces with one polished side, in a 1-kilogram box This lot contains between 6 and 12 pieces of natural moonstone in a semi-raw state, each with one of its sides polished. The set has an approximate weight of one kilogram. The stones have irregular shapes and sizes, but the partial polishing allows for the appreciation of bluish or silvery flashes typical of adularescence in some specimens. The pieces are arranged in a white cardboard box, about 19 cm x 14 cm x 4 cm, closed and without the possibility of individual selection. Moonstone is a variety of feldspar belonging to the orthoclase group. Its unique shine is due to the optical effect known as adularescence, caused by the interference of light in microscopic layers within the mineral.
