The CD, Nanushka, A Russian Children's Story, is about the adventures of a little orphan girl living in a remote Russian village, in a time long past. Little Nanushka lives alone with her Great-aunt Olga and longs for playmates. Full of irresistible charm, she resorts to creating make-believe friends. This, however, gets her in trouble with her Great-aunt Olga and sets the stage for her adventures. The presentation goes back and forth between narrative and music, with each musical selection reflecting the inherent emotion of the moment.
