The base is weighted to prevent tipping and felt-covered to protect surfaces. These are perfect for my new shop. They are packaged very carefully and it feels like Christmas opening each little box. I love them. Even though I’ve only been open a couple weeks and am in a VERY small town some of the things have already sold. :)
