"These live edge boards are hand crafted from local Wooster, Ohio Dark Walnut lumber. I hand select these pieces for their grain and fit for a each live edge serving board/ cutting board / butcher block. This cutting board measures roughly 18" long x 10" wide x 1"" thick Each board is fully conditioned with food grade mineral oil and sealed with our signature conditioner and ready for use. We're proud to have been blessed with this second chance at life and are making the most of it through my passion for woodworking and custom live edge creations. Our family offers the highest quality, most unique merchandise on the market today. We aim to create original pieces that cannot be sourced locally and really bring your home, office, business, or project together through our custom work.

The black walnut slabs were priced a little higher than I can find elsewhere but worth it as they state "All boards are kiln dried, planed and are ready to be sanded and finished." They were planed quite well (not necessarily flattened but they didn't make that claim.) The quality of the wood was disappointing. A large amount of worm holes, which can be expected but the HUGE tunneling make it worthless. It limits what can be made with half the material thickness gone due to tunneling.
