Place teapot on hot plate: Set the teapot on a hot plate and turn it on. The aim is to bring the water to a boil. Percolation process: As the water heats up, it will funnel up through the conduct in the inner chamber, carrying it onto the tea. The tea will begin to percolate down, infusing the water with flavour. Steep the tea: Allow the tea to steep for the desired amount of time (typically 3–5 minutes, depending on the tea type). Serve the tea: Once the tea has steeped, remove the teapot from the hot plate and serve the tea.
