Noémie's compositions are built from the raw material of the world - colour discovered through travel, the organic forms of nature, the layered logic of sedimentary rock, the bold lines of architecture. The Essien Throw has that earthy, geological quality to it. Every Slowdown Studio throw starts as an original artwork. We collaborate with independent artists around the world to translate their creativity into woven form. The Essien Throw is jacquard woven in the USA from cotton with at least 25% recycled cotton: lightweight, textured, and built to last. Use it as a couch blanket, a bed blanket, a wall art tapestry, or wherever you need a little colour or personality.
