This pendant does come with the cord as shown in the photo. *As with any Shungite you will see veins in the stone, this is normal and will be found in almost every piece of Shungite. These veins may look like a crack but they are not cracks. These are veins and originated during the time the Shungite was formed in the Earth. *Shungite is a soft stone and is 3.5 to 4 on the Mohs hardness scale. As a result of this softness, you may find that the Shungite may leave a dark residue on your hands when handling it. This is very normal beacuse it is a soft stone. After you receive your Shungite, you may want to run it under water to help get rid of this residual dust. Dry it gently with a towel.
