Tulsi Mala Beads The Tulsi Mala is made from the wood or the seeds of the Tulsi plant. Tulsi (Holy Basil) is considered to be one of most sacred plants in Indian worship. Hindus view Tulsi as a goddess (a manifestation of Lakshmi) in the form of a plant bestowed with great spiritual and healing powers. Mala is a Sanskrit word meaning "garland" or "impurity." It is also the term for a string of beads that has been used by sages and those with spiritual aspirations for thousands of years. Yogis and Buddhists were the first to use mala to enhance their spiritual practices.

I order 5 variants of Malas, I did not receive one variant I ordered and they doubled up on another. I returned the incorrect items and am still waiting for a refund or to receive the correct items weeks later.

The Malas aren't as pictured online. The Tulsi Mala looks absolutely nothing like the photo. It's rather unfortunate as the quality of this item is very poor. The sandalwood is also not as pictured. Happy with the rosewood mala. It is nice that the malas come with a descriptive card.

Didn't get any resolution when I contacted the brand to see if maybe they had sent the wrong items, since they looked so different than the photos. Everything else (copper water bottles, tongue scrapers, and palo santo) looks good so far!
