Small in size and fine texture, this variety is known for its sweet flavor and color that are reminiscent of honey with finesse. It is marketed only in dried form because its envelope is so thin that in the fresh state, it would be quickly damaged during handling. The VIJAYA “Calabacita” Fig is harvested in August and dried in the sun. HOW TO CONSUME IT: Plain, as a snack, as an aperitif.
