Olympic National Park, on the Olympic Peninsula in Washington, has four distinct ecosystems: the Pacific coastline, alpine areas, the west side temperate rainforest and the east side temperate forest. Within the park there are three distinct climatic zones, which are the Pacific coastal area, the west side temperate rainforest and the east side temperate forest.
