Edmund Dulac (1882-1953) stands as a luminary figure in the world of illustration! A French-born, British naturalized artist, Dulac's work epitomizes the Golden Age of Illustration. His portfolio includes a remarkable range of illustrations for classic fairy tales, WWI relief books, popular contemporary magazines, and even postage stamps! Notably, his first commission involved illustrating the novels of the Brontë Sisters. Intricate line work, sumptuous colors, and a fusion of Eastern and Western artistic influences characterize his distinctive style.
