Feeling burned out in 2016, we booked a rental cabin for a quick escape. But, when we arrived, we found ourselves rained in for the entire long weekend. With no phone service and nothing to do, we turned to a closet of dusty puzzles only to find they offered the rest and relaxation we had been looking for in the first place. Piecework is an antidote to an obsessive work culture and an addiction to screens. We hope to be a signal to not only take care of yourself, but to love yourself and enjoy each day in all the ways that make you feel good. Savor the Moment: The name Piecework is a nod to the importance of the process — it’s about fitting something together by hand, working it through, piece by piece — instead of the outcome.
