My oldest suffers from sensitive skin and allergies and my youngest has asthma. I did a lot of research online and at the library, and came to the realization that the laundry detergent, soap & shampoo we were using were affecting their skin. I immediately switched to laundry detergent that had no dyes or scent. I saw a change that very first wash. The bumps and itching were reduced. Now I had the task of trying to find soap that would work and that was also for sensitive skin. I did some more reading and stumbled across those who made their own soap. I thought, nah that is too much work, but it kept coming up in my readings. At the same time I took a class to become certified in essential oils and aromatherapy use. I saw that making homemade soap and essential oils go together like a puzzle. With Youtube tutorials and starter recipes from books I made a few batches of my own soap.
