Tamara Phillips is a watercolour artist inspired by the raw beauty of the natural world and our connection to it. She paints in vivid earth tone colours with tiny paintbrushes, and uses the malleability of watercolour to explore the connection between myth, dream, intuition, and reality. Tamara spends a considerable amount of time being in nature and experiencing its beauty and worth. She makes her own fine art prints and takes great effort to minimize her footprint on the Earth. Born on Vancouver Island, Canada—home to spectacular temperate rainforest and biologically rich ocean—Tamara obtained her BSc in Biology from the University of Victoria. An itinerant wanderer, she enjoys both backcountry and world travel, and has called city, sea, and forest her home.
