Hello! I'm Amy Spears — illustrator, designer, and the creator behind Yellow Birds Design, a brand that makes heartfelt paper goods for people who love meaningful connection (or as I like to say, where art meets heart). Yellow Birds Design got its start in 2023 when I began drawing cheerful birds and cute-but-spooky Halloween scenes to share with friends and family — little illustrations just for fun, meant to bring a smile. I didn’t expect those early doodles to turn into something bigger, but pretty soon I had a growing collection of cards, prints, and paper goods that felt like they were saying the things people really wanted to say: I love you. I miss you. I'm thinking of you. What started as a personal creative outlet has grown into a brand rooted in storytelling, warmth, and care. Every design begins on my iPad with a hand-drawn illustration and is printed in small batches, with attention to detail and a whole lot of heart. From sweet birthday cards and cozy sympathy notes to playful seasonal favorites, everything I make is designed to help people connect — in a way that feels honest, beautiful, and true.
