The Veedel Distillers The Veedel Distillers come from the heart of Cologne's carnival stronghold. South of the popular Belgian quarter, on Lindenstr. 4, three friends have come together under the name of Veedel Distillers to pursue their passion for creating spirits. The Veedel Distillers' portfolio now includes various gins, liqueurs and a rum. This was even offered as an alcohol-free variant put on the market. With the figure of D.R. Linden, the Veedel Distillers have created an alchemist who was inspired to create various spirits during his journey around the world. The story of D.R Linden In 1895, the honorable London alchemist Dave Richard Linden set off for Cologne. He had in his luggage ingredients for the creation of a spirit called gin. In a small house in Cologne, it finally happened that D.R. Linden had his own Formula developed: “Linden No.4”. The elixir, intended as a herbal tincture, was also used as a drink for nightly entertainment and enjoyed increasing popularity there. After his first creation, he developed many more fine elixirs. After his death, the street with house No. 4 was named after D.R.Linden: Lindenstraße. To honor this masterpiece of recipes, these elixirs have been reissued so that the spirit of D.R. Linden lives on forever.
