Textiles are decorative - imaginative and nostalgic - they add new dynamic to any room! Authentic textiles from Uttar Pradesh, India, woven by hand in private homes - not in factories. Our assortment includes cotton flat-weave Dhurries carpets and chindi rag rugs with matching chindi cushions. All designs are personally selected, made by local artisans in India. The sustainable Chindi rag rugs are made from up-cycled, excess materials from the fashion industry, hand woven into home textiles, to add personality and authenticity to your home. Our sustainable collection of chindi rag rug carpets are beautiful and demonstrate imaginative re-use of "waste". Further I think environmental issues are important and as individuals, we have a responsibility. Up-cycling materials is one way of decreasing waste and new production. Each carpet is unique. I am a Danish born textile enthusiast, internationally raised. Personally I have worked with art and fashion for many years. I am drawn to authentic handcrafted textiles. Handmade textiles have personality and are made with learned skill.
