Morton & Bassett Spices was founded in 1986 by Morton Gothelf who is passionate about finding just the right ingredients to create the perfect combination of flavors. Uncompromising commitment to quality is a tradition which continues today at Morton & Bassett Spices which is still privately owned and operated. At Morton & Bassett, our top priorities are service, quality and food safety. As a smaller company, we maintain close relationships with all our suppliers to ensure only the best quality spices are put into a Morton & Bassett jar. Morton & Bassett’s factory is located about an hour north of San Francisco in a 100% solar powered facility which is certified LEED platinum. It is essential to give back to the community and world in which we live. We do so by providing support to programs such as Becoming Independent, the Early Learning institute, children’s local sports programs, Roots of Peace and many other non-profit organizations.
