Description
This is a fun and creative way to grow gourmet mushrooms in your own kitchen. I developed these kits as a way for people to learn a little more about growing mushrooms than your standard mushroom kits will teach you, and no special equipment is required. This kit includes a 5mL mushroom culture, instructions, a glossary of mycology terms, and a fungi word search. The instructions cover two ways of growing them - the first way is to grow them in a bag of pre-cooked rice on your kitchen counter, the second way is to grow them in a bucket of straw. There is enough culture included to try both methods. Regardless of your growing medium of choice, these are fascinating to grow and delightful to cook with. We're a family-operated business from Michigan and take joy in helping people learn to grow mushrooms. Working your way through one of our kits will leave you with a foundation to grow your own mushrooms confidently, and hopefully inspire you to further explore the world of mycology.

We ordered in January and still haven't received half our order. $125 worth of t-shirts I've been invoiced for and no one will respond to messages on Faire or Instagram. We will be looking for another mushroom kit company in the future-I thought the t-shirts were a cool add on to the kits, wish I wouldn't have ordered now!

Fast delivery, responsive and helpful customer service. And a product that people are really interested in. Several customers purchased as gifts and then came back and bought for themselves to try as well. Some are a little confused by the instructions and we have had to help them but we found it fairly easy ourselves when we did a sample run. Customers enjoy seeing them growing in the store as an example and it creates a great interaction starter.
