Description
Freestanding icons have extraordinary detail with vibrant and indelible colors on canvas. Adhering to traditional byzantine iconography Hand-made silkscreen Gold leafing on a wooden base. Saint Sophia and her daughters, Faith, Hope, and Love were known for their steadfast devotion to God. The three daughters expressed their loyalty to God so unwaveringly to the Roman Emperor that he had them killed. Saint Sophia was forced to watch the torture and beheading of her three daughters. Soon after they were buried, she gave her soul back to God at her daughters’ tombs. This icon depicts Saint Sophia together with her three daughters, their memories are celebrated on September 17.

We always have a great experience ordering from the friendly people at The Art of the Icon. They are very helpful and the products are beautiful quality. Our customers love these icons (seriographs) created in Greece. These lovely pieces allow the faithful to enjoy iconography in their homes at reasonable price points. The small magnet icons are particularly popular in our shop.

The customers at my organization are loving the icons from The Art of the Icon. There are some less expensive options but people have been spending more money for these icons because the quality is great! The price is good and they always ship carefully and quickly.
