About Larimar: Larimar is a unique type of Pectolite, formed during ancient volcanic activity. Only discovered in 1974 on the Caribbean county of the Dominican Republic it is mined in high tropical mountains. The name Larimar is a combination of 'Lari' the daughter's name of the stone discoverer and "Mar", the Spanish word for Sea. Larimar is the only blue Pectolite in the world; its unique color comes from the broad absorption of the red end of the visible spectrum by Copper, allowing sky blue color to show through.

My order got here MUCH sooner than expected. Twan Kee you out did yourself again! The order arrived before Christmas and I wasn't expecting it until January as a result several of the pieces sold almost before I was able to get them into the display case. I know I'll be making another order soon.
