Description
This delicious red tomato sauce is flavored with aglio orsino, or “bear’s garlic,” the wild cousin of common garlic. This edible, medicinal plant thrives in the undergrowth of mountain beech forests, bursting into white blooms each spring and rich in vitamins and minerals. After hibernation, bears feast on this plant, inspiring its name. This delicious sauce combines the distinctive aroma of wild garlic with rich tomato pulp. Simply toss cooked pasta with the warmed sauce and you have an easy, quick meal with a unique flavor profile. Perché Ci Credo tomato sauces are homemade using only top quality ingredients: onion, extra virgin olive oil, fresh basil, tomatoes, ricotta cheese, and vegetables. Add to your “soffritto” of onion or garlic in olive oil and cook for 15-20 minutes. Drain your pasta al-dente and add pasta to the sauce. Toss in pan while continuing to cook. Add grated cheese and serve. Net weight: 330 ml/11.6oz
