🍋 Our whole wheat lemon paste is an irresistible aromatic concentrate, perfect for enhancing the flavor of desserts, leavened products, and more: shortcrust pastry, panettone, pandoro, cakes and tarts, cookies, custards, ganache, ice creams, cocktails, fruit juices, craft beers, etc. It is much more intense and fragrant than simple grated zest or lemon juice and is produced exclusively with fruits harvested in our fields in Eastern Ionian Sicily: the IGP "Interdonato" lemon variety. This cultivar, obtained in the late 19th century by crossing lemons and citrons, is characterized by yellow, juicy pulp, almost seedless; it has a more delicate flavor, less acidic, with more vitamin C (ascorbic acid) and less citric acid, which is why it is also called "gentle lemon" or "tea lemon." Bio-natural cultivation (Natural Farming) excludes the use of any chemical products, even those still allowed in organic farming practices (Copper, Cadmium, Sulfur, etc.), with the aim of guaranteeing us consumers and our children truly healthy, safe, and eco-sustainable products.
