Born in Audra’s farmette kitchen, on tiny ferry serviced Orcas Island in the San Juan archipelago of Washington state, inspired by an overabundance of heritage fallen orchard fruit and not enough hands to make family recipe pies. And now, 11 years (and 10 Good Food Awards later 🥇), we’re still using the finest locally grown organic fruit, committed to cooking every single batch by hand in our original six copper pots, and shipping it all off our wee island on the ferry. Our offerings are a taste of the islands, heritage & history, in a simple bite of heirloom fruit preserved to perfection. Woman owned & operated, we make the highest quality, locally sourced, organic fruit preserves & shrubs nature and careful craft can provide. Made in an old-school style that emphasizes structure and pure, ripe, naturally grown fruit -- we classically prepare them by hand, with organic fair trade unrefined cane sugar, a squeeze of organic lemon, and fresh herbs from our kitchen garden. Tailored for cheese & charcuterie pairings and cocktails & mocktails, for any celebratory occasion. Every preserve we make is single-varietal- to exalt this very special and unique fruit, with a legacy going back over 100 years, and celebrate where it came from, our island home (the ‘girl’ in our logo holds the native Orcas Pear- discovered growing wild on Orcas Island in the 1970s).
