These unique, lightweight ornaments are created by a cooperative of artisans on Isla Solentiname, Nicaragua. Each ornament is inspired by nature, carefully hand-carved with a machete, and painted with realistic detail. These are perfect as Christmas ornaments, holiday ornaments, or year-round decorations. Material: Sustainably harvested balsa wood and non-toxic acrylic paint. Approximate size: 5" x 2". Fair Trade.

Hooded Warbler Balsa Ornament
The balsam wood ornaments from Women of the Cloud forest are both insanely cute and amazingly beautiful! The quality of the carving and painting on them makes each one a piece of art, and the faces of each animal are sweet and inviting! They are a big hit in our store (the birds especially), with many people buying them as wall decorations for all year round!
