The listing states the hooks are lead- and nickel-free hypoallergenic surgical stainless steel. After experiencing a reaction, I contacted the seller and they confirmed the hooks are 304 stainless steel, which does contain nickel and is not considered hypoallergenic for sensitive ears. Very responsive seller stated she would issue a refund.
