This vintage Turkish kilim rug was woven by Anatolian women. The colors are the original vegetable dye. the leaves of various colored trees were boiled in a cauldron and then the wool threads were dyed when the appropriate color consistency was reached and these rugs were woven with those threads. The motifs in the rugs are mostly symbols of Turkish old life. Especially symbols inherited from nomadic life such as tents, tree of life, sheep camel herds, horses...etc are included in these rug motifs. In short, The Anatolian women hand-weaved their love into each piece. While the women were weaving their rugs they designed the patterns to express their feelings at the time.
