Our Afghan waistcoats are handmade and ethically produced by women in Afghanistan. When you buy one of our waistcoats you are supporting local Afghan women and their communities. Due to the complicated situation in Afghanistan, the local economy is down, and materials are often hard to come by. We work with 5 Afghan women, paying them upfront to produce authentic Afghan waistcoats using traditional methods and style. Each waistcoat sold directly benefits women, their families and the local communities. Afghanistan has a rich history of creating traditional and unique handcrafted clothing, we want to share this beauty and history, whilst supporting local communities.
