The woollen sweater is part of the proud tradition of fishermen along the Norwegian coast. They have always been dependent on warm clothes in the harsh climate. The underwear was made of the finest, softest and warmest sheep wool by the women who ran the farm and waited for the men to come home safely. The underwear was such an obvious part of the fishermen's clothing that they called it "under", since that was what they always wore under, deep inside the body. The classic fishing undershirt has inspired us to make our version of it: we use the finest Italian merino wool and update "under" to a modern singlet that makes life comfortable. It can be worn under a shirt or t-shirt / sweater, or alone on a Nordic summer day.
