Generally, in order to create the devoré effect, the base fabric must be composed of at least two different fibers: A cellulosic fiber (cotton, linen or viscose) that is selectively “burned” by the corrosion of special chemicals and a more resistant synthetic fiber, which remains intact, producing an effect chiaroscuro. When the processing is completed, the burnt part will give transparency, while the “unburned” part will represent the relief part of the design. One Size
