Fully secured sides & ends. These rugs have a high quality cotton canvas backing, incrementally stitched to the perimeter. Due to this item being new old stock, possibly in storage for over twenty years, you may find some imperfections like minor separation easily mended of the canvas to the rug. Scuffs and minor stains may be found to the reverse. The backing is not structural in any real way other than to add weight.
