The Maplerose Solstice Wool Fairy Felting Kit is a simple felting project with some needle felting and the opportunity to play with beautiful wool roving. A fun kit for beginners. There are enough supplies in each kit to make two fairies. The hair and dress colours can be interchanged. (The skin tone of the fairy in the photo is light.) You'll learn the basic needle felting techniques to make your fairy. Felting wool fairies is a little different as you want to leave the wool long and whispy and fairy-like rather than compressing it too much. The finished fairy can be hung up to bring wonder and beauty to a room or used as a puppet for story time or to decorate a seasonal nature table. This is a great project for children, with help from a grown-up for littler ones. The felting needle is very sharp so supervision is suggested.
