The blocks have been cut out of the wood, so that you can see the wall behind the map. That makes the artwork light and stylish for any interior. However it may not grab well to a rough surface. Always ensure the hanging with a nail. Please note, that wood is a natural material and may bend as a result of humidity variations. The map retains its shape best when taped to the wall.
