Used Keum Boo Technique to make this statement half moon necklace. 24 karat pure gold leaf is fused by using high heat and pressure onto fine silver sheet that I saw into hammered half moon shapes. And the chain is 14kt Gold Filled Cable chain. The gold foils placements vary in each piece. It measures about 18”. What is Keum Boo? In Korean it means "attached gold". First the silver is depleted into fine silver by using enough heat. Then 24 karat gold foil is applied with heat and pressure. This technique allows the fine silver permanently bond with pure gold.
