The Industrial Harbor Bridge is an architectural risograph print of the monumental bridge from ca. 1920 over the mouth of the industrial harbor at the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal in Utrecht. This blue drawbridge always makes me happy with its contrasting striped pipelines that remind me of giant candy canes. From the series Utrecht - Portraits of a City Not just the touristy hot spots, but views we see while cycling, things we love or love to hate, or that interest us because of the graphic lines. Beautiful details, weird contrasts, impressive ugliness, it can all be an inspiration. Risography is a technique that uses a duplicating machine to print colours separately, layer by layer. Risography uses semi-transparent inks based on vegetable oil. Due to the technology, each print is slightly different, which makes each print unique.
