Scrying (one of the oldest forms of divination) is the practice of gazing into this partially reflective mirror to produce visions of the past (including past lives), future, or distant locations. The visions can appear as symbols, feelings, words, or colors. This divination tool is made of polished black obsidian, which is volcanic glass. Obsidian is a grounding crystal.
