Saint Vitus Retablo Patron Saint of Dancers 290 AD- 303 AD Feast Day: June 15 St. Vitus was born in Sicily. He died a boy of 13 during the persecution of Christians in the rule of Emperor Diocletian. We only know him through legend. His father tortured him to make him denounce his faith. He fled with his tutor and nurse. In Rome he drove a demon from the Emperor’s son. He was seized for such sorcery, tortured and killed. He is one of the 14 Holy Helpers. In the late middle ages, in Germany, his feast day was celebrated by dancing before him. "Holy St. Vitus, through your example of faith and your compassion that cost you your life, I pray that my faith remains strong and my dance inspire and benefit those who see it." The items are lov. They came so quickly! Wow I was shocked. The only thing I wish where different is the packaging slip. I wish it had photos on it. Several of the angels, have the same names and the faire app doesn't have the packing numbers listed on their app. I often have to go to your personal website to double check #numbers. It's confusing. Thanks for listening. Our customers love these. I am making an angle/ Saint tree with them this Christmas.
