About Belén Diz Juncal
I am Belén Diz Juncal, a Galician illustrator addicted to grating paper and using Bic pens to create new realities and imaginaries constructed from memories, sensations and feelings. My illustrations talk about childhood, the body and the home as a refuge, about looks, intimacy and the importance of the moment, about the play that exists between the public and the private, and the ability to make memory tangible. All this through realistic drawings that invite us to reflect on the context, to imagine what happens before and after. Currently my work is distributed to art galleries and Concept Stores in Spain, but I would like to be part of other spaces outside the country.
