Wolfie+Willow moccasins are designed to ensure that the developing bones in feet are able to move naturally without any restriction. The shoes soft structure protects little feet and does not hinder natural development as they are made from lightweight leather which moulds to the foot like a second skin. This allows a child to feel the ground beneath them which is essential as they learn to move, balance and hone their motor skills. All our shoes are made using vegetable tanned leather. This means the leather has been tanned using only vegetable substances such as rhubarb. The colouring agents used in this process are synthetic and free from heavy metals. The leather shows natural grain variations and has no surface treatment. For this reason every pair is unique and the surface is highly absorbent. Over time the leather will patina with wear which means as it ages and becomes dirty with use, it will develop a beautiful glossy finish.Read their story
