Seattle Samosa: Spreading Smiles, One Samosa at a Time Seattle Samosa began in a garage kitchen in 2021, when husband-and-wife team Leena and Vikas started making the samosas they grew up loving in India and sharing them with neighbors and friends during the pandemic. Neither had a food industry background, Vikas came from IT and Leena from healthcare administration, but the response to their homemade samosas was so warm that friends encouraged them to turn it into a business. What started as weekend sales out of a shared commercial kitchen grew into a five-day operation, then farmers markets and local events, and by 2022 wholesale accounts with restaurants, cafes, and local Community Markets. Today, Seattle Samosa runs a dedicated production facility in Redmond, WA making thousands of fresh samosas daily, alongside their restaurant in Ravenna neighborhood of Seattle city. Every samosa is still made with the same values that started it all: real ingredients, no preservatives or additives, and produce sourced from local farms whenever possible. For Leena and Vikas, it's never just been about the food, it's about sharing a piece of their culture and, in their words, bringing a smile to everyone they serve, whether that's a customer, an employee, or a retail partner.
