Charissa Owens Art is created by abstract expressionist artist Charissa Owens. I am inspired by interior design, fashion, and the colors and textures in the world around me. Acrylic paint is my preferred medium, but I also dabble in watercolor, pastels, and mixed media. My love for art history, textiles, interior design and fashion gives some influence, but my main inspiration comes from past years as a graphic designer and a love of the textures found in nature. I draw inspiration from simple things in life that create complex, delicate, and intricate patterns. Charissa Owens Art is a woman owned small business that sells tea towels, stationery, insulated tumblers, high end interior design pillows, and rugs featuring my designs to speciality shops across the country. Every design is initially painted by hand and then transformed into premium quality products. I am a one woman show and carefully create all designs in my home studio. I launched this small brand of gift items and home decor items because my art pairs well with these items and allows me to bring art into homes in elegant and creative ways.
