About Library of Marshall Arts
Living along the Colorado Front Range for nearly three decades has made a profound impact on my ability to hold and maintain wonder, curiosity, and appreciation for our natural surroundings. Every morning is a possibility for a perfectly pink alpen glow sunrise, every fire a deeply painful mourning for what became ash. There is an opportunity to pause with amazement literally around every bend. If you aren't in awe of the intricate interplays of color and shape, sun and rain that are the essence of Colorado then come sit next to me for a while and let's talk about rocks. I began painting again in earnest in 2021 as a way of healing from the loss of a fire, and so much more. Painting shows me how to appreciate, and what to let go of. It can be a peaceful meditation or an invigorating, energetic frenzy of fun. My goal is to hold a moment, a color, a feeling, a place, suspended for a moment so that you and I can share a conversation about how awesome it is that we get to be amongst these wonders.
