La Savonnerie du Vigneau is in a natural site in Vendée (France). In 2015, we wanted to experience something else, differently. After a career in offices, we turned to the great outdoors and nature. We discovered a very beautiful natural site, "Le Vigneau", a vast estate on the edge of the Yon valley, located between La Roche-sur-Yon and La Tranche-sur-Mer. Very quickly, our Starlet alpaca joined us, then Décibelle our donkey, followed by our Câline goat and her companions and finally Maya arrived with her many sisters. In January 2016, the first cosmetic creation workshops were launched. At the end of the year, the first soaps are ready. In May 2019, we obtained the "Nature & Progrès label" and then in 2020 the "Slow Cosmetics label", and we are proud of it. Manufacturing Cold saponification: A traditional manufacturing, we use the cold saponification process, we do not heat the soap paste. The chemical reaction takes place naturally, without acceleration (it lasts about 4 weeks), thus allowing all the properties of the oils used to be retained and the addition of various heat-sensitive active ingredients (vegetable milk, honey, essential oils).
