Since 1984, Okabashi Brands has been a family owned and operated shoe company in the small town of Buford, Georgia. Our shoes have garnered a loyal following with over 35 million pairs of shoes sold. Today, over 99% of American-worn footwear is made abroad. We are proud to be in the 1% that has chosen to stay and thrive in the USA. Our line of flip flops and sandals is focused on foot health and wellness. We believe that support and comfort are key to a healthy and active lifestyle. Approximately 3 billion pairs of petroleum-based flip flops are manufactured each year globally. Flip flops also make up roughly 25% of ocean plastic pollution. Make sure YOURS are recyclable - ours are. As a family owned company, we value stewardship and care for the environment. Our proprietary material is made in the USA and is 100% recyclable (plastic symbol #3). Our bio-based material contains 45% soy by weight and is BPA, latex, rubber, and phthalate-free. Each pair of Okabashi sandals are made of approximately 25% recycled materials from our own closed-loop manufacturing process.
