Our little story starts during the war in 1940 : my father, member of the French Corsican resistance, was walking long distance in the Corsican countryside "maquis" to fight the occupation. By luck he tried to protect his feet against blister, inserting in his boots "la murza" the plant known today as Helichrysum Italicum, or Immortelle. The result was immediate; When the wounds disappeared in 3 days he knew he was onto something . After the war he thought that he could do something for others with the properties of this magical plant that helped him so much. He started to collect the helichrysum in the wild first from the early 50's selling the buds, to different aromatherapists around Ajaccio, Bastia, the Porto Vecchio area, even a customer in Paris. Soon after my uncle Paul joined the team but the "production" was interrupted when health left them. In 2007, I decided to revive his dream and started collecting in the wild also up to 2010. I increased production late 2013 in the most traditional way when I planted the wild seeds around Porto Vecchio, Zonza , Palneca my village as well as in Porto Pollo and our Farm was created then with www.helichrysum-italicum.com. We still use the next generations of the same 80 families to collect in July the plants in the wild along the shores of the Island . In 2022 we steam distilled and produced almost 240 kg of the purest helichrysum Italicum Essential Oil , for the benefit of several skincare labs around the world .
