The Sutharos Story Mr. Somkiat Wongprasert founded a small food ingredients company over 20 years ago. One night in Europe on a business trip, he felt homesick and searched for Thai food as comfort. He was unsuccessful but the event inspired him to embark on a new mission: we should all be able to enjoy authentic Thai meals, anywhere in the world. In 2008, Mr. Somkiat planted the first seeds for his organic herbs and vegetables. Sutharos, “The Taste of Thailand,” was born. After 2 years perfecting the recipe, Sutharos introduced a quick and easy 3 step recipe for Tom Yum Soup. Today there are over 30 different organic Sutharos products available with many more to come. Sutharos doesn’t just bring the Taste of Thailand into your homes, but we also want to set the highest standards for quality and authenticity. Mr. Somkiat started with a dream to have a home style Thai meal anywhere he traveled in the world, and at Sutharos, we strive to make that dream a reality, one Thai meal at a time.
