Our journey with Savanah Sauce Company began in August 2014 during a trip to Jekyll Island, Georgia. We met a couple selling their sauces. We purchased some sauce and a distributorship. It took another seven months to get retail sales, but we were eventually offered shelf space in a few local stores and Whole Foods market. After some issues with the current manufacturer, we developed our signature hot sauces. Soon after, we expanded our product line to include barbecue sauces, ketchups, mustards, relishes, and salsas. We believe and practice responsible capitalism. That is to say-- no matter how much revenue you generate, you must give back. Giving back to veterans was and still is a top priority for us as a company. As such, Mike Roberson wrote our first cookbook and gave the profits from that cookbook to our local homeless authority to help build a tiny home community for homeless veterans. In the same spirit of responsible corporate stewardship, Mike Roberson founded TigerCo Marketing and gifted this company to the school of business at Savannah State University in Savannah Georgia. Mike recently received permission to start University Farmers Market on the Savannah State campus. The first market is slated to begin on the 2nd Wednesday beginning in June 2021.
